The National Museum Calabar, also known as the Old Residency Museum, is a premier historical landmark located on a hill overlooking the Calabar River. Housed in a 19th-century prefabricated structure shipped from Glasgow in 1884, it originally served as the administrative seat for the British colonial government and the residence of the High Commissioner. Today, it preserves Nigeria's largest collection of original colonial-era documents and pre-colonial artifacts.
